Itinerary

Day 1  Arrival in Lhasa – The City of Sunlight

  • Morning/Afternoon: Arrive in Lhasa, greeted with a warm Khata ceremony by our guide at the train station or Gonggar Airport.
  • Transfer: Drive to your hotel in the city center and rest to acclimate to the high altitude.
  • Service, Meals & Accommodation:
    • Service: 24-hour airport/train station pickup service

    • Accommodation: Depon Hotel, Minshan Yinqiao, Tibet Hotel, Yinqiao Hotel, Himalaya Hotel, or similar four-star international hotels

Day 2  Lhasa’s Cultural Highlights

  • Morning: Explore the Potala Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and enjoy the panoramic views from the Yaowang Mountain Viewing Platform.
  • Afternoon: Visit the Jokhang Temple and explore the bustling Barkhor Street, a hub for local culture and handicrafts.
  • Service, Meals & Accommodation:

Day 3  Journey to Shigatse – Sacred Lakes & Glaciers

  • Morning: Drive to Yamdrok Lake (Yamdroktso), known for its stunning turquoise waters.
  • Afternoon: Continue to the Karola Glacier and visit the Baiju Monastery in Gyantse before arriving in Shigatse.
  • Service, Meals & Accommodation:
    • Service: Scenic drive with cultural insights from your guide

    • Accommodation: Gesa’er Hotel, Xigazangqiang Hotel, Wangrun International, or similar four-star hotels

Day 4  Conquer Everest Base Camp

  • Morning: Travel through the Gyatso La Pass and enter the Qomolangma National Park, home to Mount Everest.
  • Afternoon: Switch to park vehicles and continue to Everest Base Camp, with a visit to the Rongbuk Monastery, the highest monastery in the world.
  • Evening: Experience the breathtaking night sky at Everest Base Camp, with a clear view of the stars above the world’s highest peak.
  • Service, Meals & Accommodation:

    • Accommodation: Everest tent camp or guesthouse (in winter, accommodation in Basong Village guesthouse)

Day 5  Farewell to Everest – Shigatse Bound

  • Morning: Bid farewell to Everest Base Camp and cross the Gawula Pass, renowned for its 108 switchbacks and views of five 8,000-meter peaks. This is the only viewing platform in the world where you can see five 8,000-meter snow-capped peaks from a distance! You can see Makalu, Lhotse, Everest, Cho Oyu and Shishapangma!
  • Afternoon: Continue the drive back to Shigatse for the night.

Day 6  Spiritual Journey Back to Lhasa

  • Morning: Visit the Tashilhunpo Monastery, the traditional seat of the Panchen Lama, before heading back to Lhasa.
  • Evening: Enjoy a performance of the “Princess Wencheng” show, an outdoor cultural spectacle that brings ancient Tibetan stories to life.

Day 7  Sacred Lake of Namtso

  • Morning: Travel to Namtso Lake, one of Tibet’s three holy lakes, nestled against the Nyenchen Tanglha Mountains.
  • Afternoon: Stop at Nagqu Pass (5,190 meters) for panoramic views before returning to Lhasa.
  • Service, Meals & Accommodation:

Day 8  Departure from Lhasa
